The Samaritan Manor is a state-of-the-art 120 bed skilled nursing facility with quality care, unique programs, and a home-like environment.  It is the first new skilled nursing home facility to open in Detroit in more than two decades. The Samaritan Manor is housed entirely on the fourth floor of the Samaritan Center, formerly Detroit Mercy Hospital.

Accommodations

The facility is fully air-conditioned, with private and semi-private resident rooms, a fireplace in the common living areas and community dining rooms. An intimate and a home-like environment has been created for residents and their families. Comprised of four nursing units, called “neighborhoods”, The Samaritan Manor utilizes the Person Centered Care model.  Each neighborhood, Conant Gardens, Chandler Park, Indian Village, and Paradise Valley (named after popular Detroit neighborhood in the 1940s and 1950s),  features a subspecialty area to address the underserved population in the City of Detroit and surrounding suburbs.
