| Welcome to the
Manor of Northwest Detroit. With a friendly staff and a heart to serve, The
Manor of Northwest Detroit is “compassion in action”. Whether the
need is for extensive rehabilitation following surgery or a stroke, or
for a “short term stay” so caregivers can rest, our responsive staff is
here to help you achieve your healthcare goals.
We are committed to the health and well-being of our residents.
In order to maximize our residents’ quality of life, our highly trained staff
develops an individual care plan for each resident. These care plans focus on
Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), medical and therapeutic treatment, and social
interaction. With the involvement of our families and community, our goal is to
meet the physical, spiritual, and social needs of our residents.

| With a home-like atmosphere, we encourage our residents to bring in
personal mementos to help personalize their living area. We encourage
visits from family, friends and pets.

Certifications
We are licensed by the State of Michigan. All of our beds are dually certified by Medicare
and Medicaid. Our most
recent survey results are available in our lobby. We accept most
insurances.
Special Programs:
Active Dementia Program - Sunshine Lounge
The Sunshine Lounge is an area where
Alzheimer and Dementia residents can relax and find purpose for living.
We have received special training to assist us in reaching into the
procedural memories (memories that are programmed into the brain) that
have not been damaged by the dementia. These memories reflect activities
that the resident participated in at some point in their life. The
Sunshine Lounge uses aromatherapy and creative programming to improve
the quality of life and comfort of our residents. |
